Dating back to the 1950s Tumble Torches were used as warning beacons around roadwork's, approx 20 cm (8inches) round, they have weighted bases to help them right themselves if knocked over. Finished with a long life powder coating they can burn for 24 hours on one filling of Paraffin or Citronella Oil which is great if you get plagued with midges while eating alfresco, Recommended for outdoor use only, each torch has a metal snuffer to extinguish the flame. Similar products were used to help keep the spring frosts away from orchards at blossom time.
